Robert J. Seeger /
As President of RJS, Rob is in charge of business strategy, operations oversight and overall company performance. Rob joined the family business in 2010 with the vision of growing the one-man, Long Island-based operation into a scalable company that would create jobs and transform customer perception of pest control service. Since he started, RJS has experienced significant growth, is now headquartered in midtown Manhattan and RJS is now recognized as one of the leading pest control providers in NYC.
Prior to joining RJS, Rob served as Executive Vice President, Business Development at Bridgeline Software, where he was a partner that helped take the company to a public offering in 2007. Rob started his career by championing Western Pest Services expansion into NYC in 1997 where he served as District Sales Manager for almost three years and helped build Western’s NYC operation from the ground up.
Rob earned his B.A. in Business at Rutgers University, where he was captain of the football team. Rob and his wife Kara reside in Westchester, NY and have three beautiful children.
Roger J. Seeger /
With almost twenty years of experience in the pest control industry under his belt, Roger founded RJS Pest Management Specialists in 2005 as an owner/operator. Roger started RJS with nothing but raw determination, a strong work ethic and a laser focus on exceptional customer service and results. These are the core values our company was built upon and continues to stand for today.
During his more than seven year tenure at Western Pest Services, Roger cultivated strong relationships with many service colleagues. These relationships have been the kindling as RJS has expanded over the years, and many of Roger’s former colleagues are now proud members of the RJS family. Roger continues to be actively involved in the day-to-day business of RJS, managing service in the outer boroughs of NYC. His personal touch is what many RJS customers have come to appreciate and expect when they want results. Roger and his wife Lorna are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren.
Joe Tamayo /
Vice President, Service
Joe joined RJS in 2010. With 25 years of industry experience with two of the larger pest companies in the country, Joe was ready for a new challenge and eager to build something on his own. When Rob and Roger asked Joe if he would be interested in helping them build RJS into a premier service company in NYC, they could barely get the words out before he happily accepted.
As Vice President, Service, Joe is responsible for the service and professionalism RJS delivers on each and every visit. Joe’s thirty years of pest control experience have paid significant dividends for RJS Pest, as he has helped our company grow in revenue year over year. His discipline, diligence, loyalty and commitment to excellence are one of the main reasons RJS customer retention is close to 95% year over year.
Joe and his wife happily reside in central New Jersey with their son.
Mike Whalen /
Vice President, Business Development
With 20 years of sales experience in the pest management industry, Mike brings significant value to his role at RJS. As Vice President, Business Development, Mike is primarily responsible for driving new revenue growth at RJS and managing the RJS sales team. In addition, Mike helps to foster many customer relationships and is critical in ensuring high customer retention.
Prior to joining RJS, Mike was Regional Sales Manager at Western Pest Services from 1995-2013 where he worked with Joe, Al, Rob & Roger. Mike graduated from Rowan University in 1995 with a major in Business. Mike and his wife are the proud parents of three beautiful girls.
Mike Malan /
Director of Business Development Strategy & Information Technology
Disciplined, determined and detail-oriented, Mike joined the RJS family as an intern in 2010 while attending Marist College. Mike has been an instrumental team member in building the RJS business. Today, Mike plays a strategic role in determining how our company can leverage advanced technology to continuously streamline and improve business process. In 2014, Mike spearheaded the migration to electronic reporting and our proprietary mobile field service platform – RJS Mobile.
Prior to joining RJS, Mike performed a business development internship at Bridgeline Software, a digital engagement solutions provider headquartered in Burlington, MA. He graduated magna cum laude from Marist College with a B.S. in International Business and Psychology.
Al Velez /
A veteran of the pest control industry, Al has been in the pest management business since 1994, initially hired by our own Joe Tamayo. As Service Supervisor with over twenty years of industry experience, Al manages our technicians to ensure that every customer is receiving effective, high-quality and personalized service. In addition to being NY-certified with 7A and 7F licenses, he has extensive experience in servicing large and complex commercial facilities such as hospitals, schools, hotels, restaurants, nursing homes and food processing plants.
Before relocating from Florida to join RJS and some of his former colleagues, Al served as a Service Supervisor and Certified Field Trainer at Orkin Pest Control, the largest pest control provider in the world.
Al and his wife Jessie reside in Central New Jersey and are the proud parents of three healthy and athletic boys.
